Lothians MSP Gordon Lindhurst has been appointed to chair the Scottish Parliament's key Economy, Jobs and Fair Work Committee.
Commenting, Gordon said: “I’m delighted to have been chosen as convener of this important committee. This is obviously a key area where the government needs to be scrutinised and encouraged in the right direction.” Gordon also added that he has long experience of committees outside parliament, including through his professional role as an advocate, and through charity work.
The Economy Committee scrutinises the Scottish Government's record on the economy; domestic and international investment policy; labour market strategy; business, industry and manufacturing; cities; and energy.
