  • City Councillors

Neil Cuthbert was elected as a Councillor for Colinton/Fairmilehead in the by-election held on 23 January 2025. He sits on the Transport and Environment Committee, where he is the Conservative Group's Transport Spokesperson, and on the Policy and Sustainability Committee. He is also the Conservative Group Whip and a Board Member of SEStran, the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership.

In the ward, Neil has taken up residents' concerns about safety and congestion on the A702 at Lothianburn and Hillend. His casework also covers road and pavement conditions, housing and accessibility.

Before entering the Council, Neil spent over 35 years working in public policy, and co-founded an Edinburgh-based public relations and communications consultancy in 2013.

Neil holds advice surgeries for constituents at Oxgangs Library from 18:00 to 19:30 on the first Wednesday of each month during school term times. Residents are welcome to come along, or can contact Neil at [email protected].
